Edwin C. Cluster was born on October 28, 1934 in Largo, Florida. He graduated from Largo High School in June of 1952 and served in the U.S. Army from February 1954 until February 1956. Ed attended Florida State University where he majored in accounting and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in February of 1958. In 1961, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Law School and was admitted to the Florida Bar in October 1961.

He has practiced in Ocala, Florida since his admission to the Bar. He has been an active participant in many local civic activities. For example, he has been President of the Ocala Rotary Club and the Marion County Humane Society.

Ed became a Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer in 1983. He is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in Circuit Civil and Family Law matters as well as a Civil Mediator certified by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In the federal judicial system, he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Ed is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court, all the District Courts of Appeal of Florida, and all the Circuit County Courts of Florida.

Ed has served as the President of the Marion County Bar Association and was elected to represent the 5th Judicial Circuit (Marion, Lake, Sumter, and Citrus Counties) on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar for six years during which time he was Chairman of the Disciplinary Rules Committee. Ed was also a Director of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, Chairman of the Civil Rules Committee for the Florida Bar, and has received the award for the Meritorious Public Service from the Florida Bar.

Ed’s broad experience as a civil trial lawyer includes over 100 jury trials and countless non-jury matters. His litigation experience covers personal injury cases, including medical and legal malpractice, estate and trust matters, real estate problems, commercial disputes, and dissolution of marriage. He has been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers® list and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum®.
