Robert H. McLean
Robert H. McLean has been an attorney in Florida for 20 years and became a partner with Ayres Cluster in 2015. Mr. McLean has represented both plaintiffs and insurance companies in personal injury cases during his career, but now exclusively represents individuals who have been hurt in accidents.
Shortly after his parents emigrated to the U.S. from Scotland, Rob was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1966. Subsequently, his family moved to Florida, and in 1984 Rob graduated from Orange Park High School in Jacksonville. Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1988, where he was a four year letterman in soccer. Later in 1990, he earned a Masters’ Degree from the University of North Florida, and in 1996 received his Law Degree from the University of Florida.
Since his graduation from law school in 1996, Rob has lived and practiced in Central Florida. In addition to the Florida Bar, Mr. McLean is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Rob is a member and past President of the Marion County Bar Association. In addition, he is a member of the American Bar Association and former Administrator of the D.R. Smith American Inn of Court in Ocala, Florida.
Rob has been married to his wife Pamela for over twenty years. They have two children, Maggie and Richard. Rob believes it is important to be active in the community. He volunteers at the YMCA and Big Sun Youth Soccer, as well as Hillcrest School for developmentally disabled children. Rob and Pamela attend St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. In his free time, Rob is an avid cyclist and speaks to bicycling groups about their rights and responsibilities on Florida’s roads.
