Attorney Abraham Banks Ends His Term

Attorney Abraham Banks completed his term as President of the MCBA. Mr. Banks is a partner and shareholder at Ayres Cluster Law Firm. With Mr. Banks’ completion of his term as Marion County Bar Association President, all six lawyers practicing law at Ayres Cluster Law Firm have the distinction of serving as President in past years.
For 2014-2015, the new officers of the Executive Committee for the Marion County Bar Association were sworn in for the new term at the Annual Meeting. Mr. Banks will continue to serve in an advisory role as Immediate Past President.
At the Annual Meeting, Mr. Banks was recognized by fellow members of the Executive Committee with a “President’s Plaque” that holds the gavel for his term, as well as a gift card to TPC Sawgrass where Mr. Banks will be able to play golf on the world famous Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The gifts were given to thank and recognize Mr. Banks for a “great year of service to the MCBA”.

Edwin C. Cluster, one of the firms founders, has served not only as Marion County Bar Association President, but also served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar for 6 years, where he was Chairman of the Disciplinary Rules Committee. He has also served as Director of the Trial Lawyers Section as well as Chairman of the Civil Rules Committee for the Florida Bar, and received the Meritorious Public Service Award from the Florida Bar. This tradition of service has been carried on through the commitment of our attorneys at Ayres Cluster Law Firm. Like Mr. Banks and Mr. Cluster, attorneys Lanny Curry, Wayne McCall, Jimmy Collins, and Rob McLean have also previously served as President of the Marion County Bar Association. Here at Ayres Cluster Law Firm, we believe serving in a leadership roles within our local community organizations is both a privilege and a responsibility.
